Registration for Boys U16/U18 and Girls U15/U18


PRACTICES & LEAGUE GAMES
- Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Location: Lake Park in Oceanside
- First Official Practice: Thursday, Feb. 18, 2025
- First Game: March 15, 2025

REGISTRATION FEES
Registration fees include all USAR & SCYR league fees, practice t-shirt, game shorts, game socks, fields for practice & games, referees & athletic trainer at games, game hosting, coaching, club equipment.

REGISTER - Important Information
There are 2 steps to register.
When you register with MatchFacts, make sure to select "Register as a Player" with SoCal Youth Rugby. Then select "Thunder Rugby" - either BU16, BU18, GU15, or GU18. You will need to upload the following documents:
  • Member Image - Photo of Player (passport-style headshot with no hat, no glasses)
  • Date of Birth Verification - Photo of player's birth certificate, passport or driver's license.

Can I try rugby before registering?

Yes. Try rugby at one of the free rugby clinics. Please email info@ThunderRugbyClub.com to complete the waivers prior to attending and receive the clinic details.


Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Please register with MatchFacts and pay what you can afford right away. Then email info@thunderrugbyclub.com.


Do you offer sibling discounts?

Because the club works to keep fees low for all players, we do not offer sibling discounts.


Do you offer financial aid?

We do offer financial aid for families in need. Financial aid funds are limited and is accepted/reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. The financial aid program is offered to those meeting the guidelines. You will need to provide proof of current income and comply with the Terms & Conditions. Do you offer refunds?

Yes and no.
The league does not offer refunds so portion of the fee is non-refundable. As a club, we only refund a portion of the fees if you cancel before the first game minus the $25 cost for administration AND minus the $30-50 cost for gear. If you cancel after the first game, we unfortunately cannot offer a refund.

Played Oceanside HS or Thunder Team in 2025 Season Already Paid + $100 Thunder + $80 League

Thunder or Oceanside HS Boys in 2025 Season. These players (parents) should login into MatchFacts with their same login, then documents will be automatically loaded. Please email treas@thunderrugbyclub.com after you register so we can reduce your registration fee.
Played w/ other SCYR HS Teams Already Paid + $275 Thunder + $80 League>

Oceanside HS Girls in 2025 & for Players who played with another high school team in 2024 HS Season (includes San Marcos HS, Mission Vista HS, etc.) Players who played in HS/Winter season should login into MatchFacts with their same login, then documents will be automatically loaded.
New or Returning Player
(Did NOT play in 2025 SCYR Winter Season)		 $35 + $275 Thunder + $80 League

Players who haven't played with Thunder in 2025 season, or players who played SCIRF league (includes LCC, Fallbrook, etc.). For new players (under 18 yrs), parents should create a new account in parent's name, then use this account to register player(s).
